Changing Java security settings across multiple user accounts

Hi all,

 

I've recently distributed Java version 7 update 51 to an IT suite; I'm encountering an issue whereby Java applets (be them stored locally on a shared drive or embedded on a webpage) prompt you with a 'security settings' issue and are unable to run. It's resolved by simply bringing down the security level to 'medium'. However this only works on a per user basis - does anyone know of a method to alter these settings per machine?

Hi There,

 

I used this doc to configure system wide settings a while a go System- and User-Level Properties

 

you should end up with deployment.config & deployment.properties files in c:\windows\Sun\Java\Deployment and that should pick up the settings for all users.
