Metro icons for desktop applications?

Hey all,

 

We have some tablet PCs (flip laptops) at my work and i am trying to prepare an image for them. But is there anyway to have custom icons/tiles for the applications pinned to start without the use of a 3rd party program?

 

Left - Windows default

Right - 3rd party application
