Ipad and Windows Mail Problem

Hi all,

 

Wasn't sure where to post this, but here goes.

 

Strange situation, I have an ipad and laptop running windows 8 and live mail.

 

I have set my email account (blueyonder) up on both as a POP account and both are set to leave a copy of the email on the server, I have gone to the settings for the email account online and ensured POP is enabled.

 

So;

 

When I send an email to my address, if i check for new mail on the ipad, the email comes in and then I can check for new mail in Windows Live Mail and the email comes in, it's fine.

 

However,

 

If I check for a new mail on windows live mail the email only comes to live mail, the mail never ever gets to the ipad.

 

So I can only get emails on both devices if I literally win a race to pull down any new mails on the ipad before Windows Live Mail gets the chance.

 

What on earth is going on?!?
