captaincharisma Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Afternoon all, Have managed to get my Learnpads up and running with apps but I am wanting to try them with students logging on. I am putting in the correct Domain name and host server but I always get a 'Failed to find user error' Any ideas?
AvantisSystems-Tom Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) Hi Captain Charisma, My name is Tom from LearnPad support. Our developers are currently aware of an issue that may cause the error, which is linked to certain specific AD configurations. We’re currently working on a fix and we’ll update you as soon as is it resolved. Sorry for the inconvenience but please rest assured, it’s a top priority. Thanks, Tom Edited October 7, 2014 by plexer
captaincharisma Posted February 7, 2014 Author Posted February 7, 2014 Thanks for the reply Tom. I will hold tight for the update!
edutech4schools Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 So can learnpads connect to a domain server and login? Sorry for the hijack.
AvantisSystems-Tom Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) Hi Edutech4schools, Yes, LearnPads are able to connect to a domain server and authenticate. Kind Regards Tom Edited October 7, 2014 by plexer
TechSupp Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Is InClass compatible with the first generation 10" avensis tablets (or would it be too much of an overhead?) and would we have to pay extra for that feature?
RupertRawnsley Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 @TechSupp Sorry for the really late reply to this one, but the answer is YES. Our policy is "No LearnPad left behind" and we make sure every new release works with every LearnPad, including the 10" LearnPad 1. In some cases the older hardware or OS version won't support a particular feature, but it's rare. For instance, LP1 doesn't have a GPS for exact location reporting, but the location can still be guessed at from the network environment, so LP1 reports that instead.
LucyJT1 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Sorry to hijack and old thread but have almost exact same question. We have Learnpads deployed and have got them to authenticate with our server. I can see the correct folders on the server for my login via ESFile explorer. What I want to be able to do is have the option to save docs etc directly to those folders e.g when I create something in Kingsoft Wps office, I want to see an option to save onto the server. Anyone any ideas??? Thanks.
