Obzen Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Hi all, Just wanted to pick someone's brains about Tablets and TVs... The headteacher wants a TV mounted on the wall in her office, so when they have SLT meetings they can all bring their iPads / Windows 8 tablets and connected them to the TV What's the best way to do this as I'm 100% positive it's not just for one type of tablet... Thanks in advance
hardtailstar Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Get a tv with all types of connections! stick relevant wires in and just connected when needed. This is probably your cheapest option. You could go wireless so Apple tv, Google chromecast (for Android tablets). Not sure if Microsoft has a wireless option.
Obzen Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 Wireless is the only option. I did think of apple TV, I've been suggested something called WEpresent - WePresent 1000 | Wireless Interactive Presentation Gateway
sonofsanta Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Windows tablets should have Intel WiDi (read: wireless display) available, depending on the CPU. You can get a WiDi receiver for around £50 to leave plugged in. We had a Belkin one when we were testing a tablet, worked well enough.
