Hello,

I am looking at setting up DIR Sync for Office 365. We are looking at using Office 365 for a hosted Sharepoint service as well as Lync. I have been looking at some DIR Sync tutorials and it looks simple enough. 1 question i do have is how can i configure it so i can only sync users from 1 or 2 OU's or group please? Everything else i have seen syncs the whole of AD. This is something i don't want to do.

Have i just missed something here or is it not possible?

Thanks

Perfectly possible... Open up the Sync Service Manager (you'll find it here "C:\Program Files\Windows Azure Active Directory Sync\SYNCBUS\Synchronization Service\UIShell\miisclient.exe")

On the Management Agents tab you should have 2 agents. Open the the properties of the agent called Active Directory Connector.

Choose Configure Directory Partitions from the left hand side and select the appropriate partition (if you have more than 1 domain). Click on the Containers button and you will see the AD structure where you can select specific OUs

Not true ozydave. Using the Sync service manager you just expand the AD tree and tick next whatever OU's you want to sync. I have 6 different ou's sync'd and they are all on different branches of our AD tree.
