SIMS Attendance barcode reader

I'm trying to create a simple barcode so that pupils can use a wand/scanner for attedance, does anyone know how to get the data into SIMS - without having to retype it all?

I think you'd need a third party that has the system in place you could the n use any unique identifier from SIMS as the barcode.

 

We use the admission number and it feeds the library system and acts as the barcode for the library cards.
