Map sharepoint doc library as network drive

Has anyone got this working persistently?

 

Would love to get it working but it is proving tricky to automate. The manual method is too fiddly for the users at our place!

 

Do we need SSO?

If you're looking at this with respect to SharePoint Online you're going to struggle a little bit since this behavior is not fully supported - authN is the big one here.

 

The best way to interact with a doc library in SharePoint Online is either via the browser (utilising drag 'n' drop, web apps, opening in client features) or using the built-in sync feature to sync the library down to the local PC.

 

SSO won't fix the problem since Explorer cannot handle the authN to SharePoint Online regardless of SSO or not - you can only map a drive properly for the current session; beyond that it'll error.
