logging into site that uses windows authentification box. Needs a domain?

Hi,

 

We have a couple of pupils from the college who are trying to login to their college files from our network.

 

Whe they try it shows them the standard windows login box (the one with switch user).

 

When they type their user and password in it seems to try and authenticate with our domain. Ive tried adding "college.ac.uk\" and then the username but still rejects it.

 

Any ideas?

 

Cant get any help from them at the moment.
