When a student right clicks the LanSchool Student icon a Windows Explorer window appears with the location set to C:\Lanschool Files. Fine as then the student / teacher can share files with each other.

However, they can then click the 'C:\' part of the path and now have access to the C:\ drive where they can access the Windows folder, command prompt etc!

Any idea how we can stop them navigating out of the Lanschool Files folder?!

it looks like from the teacher console when you go to files send/collect files you can specify which folder the files and folders can be sent to. You could change this to a shared network area and maybe get them to access it from there? I don't personally use this software but hope it helps. see this website about where to change the folder path. LanSchool

Um, if all they need to do is click the c: to access tools such as command prompt, and actually do any harm with them, then you need to lock down a whole bunch more....

I set the shared file folder to be in each students home drive - after all if it copies to each C drive it can just as easily copy to each N drive.
