Simcfc73 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Morning, We have a couple of students that need a text reader so I have tried to install naturalreader free for them but its not working. I tried extracting the MSI and deploying but it didn't isntall right so I manually installed it. It works fine for a admin but a normal user (even a power user) makes it crash when you click it. Anyone got a workaround before I delve into the registry? I have changed the permissions on the program folder to no avail. Can't remember that software that checks what files have been altered when you install either which would help.
jperry Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Try uninstalling it, make the user a temporary administrator, then install under the user's login, test it out then change the user back to a regular user. also, check this site for another solution: natural reader program wont run - Microsoft Community
