jbutlin Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Well looks like I must join the queue of people having problems with this software! I've got the share and the ESM server software on a server, all permissions as they should be... Trying to install the ESM Administrator software on a Windows 7 64 laptop- will ONLY run logged in as the domain admin. I've set up other users, given them full admin rights to registry entries, shared folders, program folders etc, but get runtime errors, and error 5209 every time I open the software. Anyone seen this before?
jhothersall Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Just called about a warning which says Im running Flash player 1 !!!! (was 13 ... ) and they asked me to downgrade to Flash player 9.5. Gaz Posted June 17, 2014 Author Posted June 17, 2014 Just called about a warning which says Im running Flash player 1 !!!! (was 13 ... ) and they asked me to downgrade to Flash player 9.5. I said thats not acceptable as the machines are in our main ICT suite !!! Not impressed which wing it with Flash 14 !!! Ignore the warning. The software is some of the most poorly coded software that I've ever seen. We've just done a test today and we are using 11 and 12 in that room and it worked fine. I do need to get around to updating them at some point but thats another story.
jhothersall Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Okay thanks Gaz, well I did the deployment manually it is some of the worst software I have seen for a while. To deploy and setup I really wonder why it isn't like Alfiesoft or CAT Tests ...
Gaz Posted June 17, 2014 Author Posted June 17, 2014 I also ignored the warnings about the screen size being too big some are 1920x1080 and some are 1680x1050 there was something strange when a user dragged the calculator to the side where there is a large white space it disappeared but not a massive hindrance.
jhothersall Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 We'll I did change all mine to 1024x768 which is a bit sad, but then the dida exam you have it set to this for the exam too.
