MattElms Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Hi there I am wondering if anyone can help me. Previously, we have had to completely disable spelling and grammar checking in word 2010 for exam purposes. We now have some surface RT's and they come with office 2013. Does anyone on here know of any way to do it on this version, but then also re enable it for when not being used for exams? Any help appreciated! Matt
cromertech Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Can this be done with a group policy? If not the options are the same in 2013 as 2010 Proofing\Check Spelling as you type
MattElms Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 Cant be done with GP as far as I am aware. Definitely not on the Microsoft Surface RT as it can't join a domain. For 2010, to make it so the user can't enable spell check again, I am sure we had to delete/rename some dll files in the office install location! Thanks for your input though Matt
MattElms Posted January 16, 2014 Author Posted January 16, 2014 Solved. Found this article which allowed me to do it easily! [Windows 8] How to completely disable spell check and auto-correct on your PC or tablet ~ Free Software For Windows
