Juniorz Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 I am looking for a way to shorten the process of ejecting a docking station. The device is a Hp Split X2 running windows 8. Im aware i can go down to the taskbar, click the icon to safely eject and then click on docking station. however when you have staff that have precious time and don't want to waste it clicking multiple icons just to go to tablet form it can get frustrating. Im looking for a simple desktop icon shortcut or script that i can run which once clicked will eject the dock. I have tried running a shortcut with this "Rundll32.exe shell32.dll.Control_runDLL hotplu.dll" However this only picks up usb's and not the docking station. Thanks in advance.
omeshls Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Try this shortcut instead "C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe cfgmgr32.dll,CM_Request_Eject_PC" Works like a charm.
