MatthewL Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I am looking at getting a ADSL connection at my new place, currently I am with PlusNet and I am leaving that connection with my Dad but I am undecided who to go with at the new place. Never had any major issues with PlusNet and I can get a good cheap package with them but Zen just seem to be that little bit better. Can anyone give any good recommendations for Zen, one of the things that I like the idea is Zen give you a free static IP address where as PlusNet do not anymore, I like the idea of UK support which both have but PlusNet is 24 hours where as Zen doesn't seem to be. Any comments?
AngryTechnician Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 As a current customer of both (one business account with each) I can say they have given comparable good levels of service to us at the school. If the extras you've described with Zen are worth the extra cost to you then by all means, but personally I would go with PlusNet for residential.
glennda Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I have Zen across my customer base - brilliant all round I have to say.
MatthewL Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 It's a very close call. Just with starting fresh thought I would have a look around, both are top rated and I just have a few niggles with PlusNet nothing major but just thought I would see what the world says.
glennda Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 They are top notch - the support is excellent, the only downside is depending on what package you get - there are usage caps (I have the middle plan with cap of 200gb) but the FTTC doesn't have any usage limits.
