acer laptop wont read hdmi anymore

hey i have a aspire 6930 but the screen is broken so i removed the screen completely and hdmi it to my flat screen. i recently installed new windows on it but now i lost control of being able to hdmi it so i cant see anything, am i screwed?

Sounds like you need to install a graphics driver for the laptop. Reinstall windows again and specify the graphics driver as you install.

Assume it has a vga so you'll need to use a vga monitor and make sure there is a hardware specific graphics driver installed no need to reinstall windows again.
