Jackd Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 Oh crap i was hoping that wasnt the issue is there any way i could salvage any data from it EDIT: I unplugged the hard drive and plugged in back in then rebooted the server and its booted back up find?
bossman Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Have regenerated bad sectors via boot disk which has enable it to boot up but this is in windows have never tried with linux but i am sure it should be possible. Takes quite a while but may sort your problem. Hirens boot disk version 9.1 is the latest i think.
Geoff Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Might of just been a loose cable then. I suggest you back everything up anyway, just in case.
Jackd Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 I'm running HDD regenerator like you suggested, and thanks bossman if craig hasnt already told you that!
