I just got home today to find that my servers not working. Ive rebooted the server but to no

 avail. Heres the error that im getting:
P.S. This is on ubuntu server 7.04

More of the same as above but with different file names
Target filesystem doesnt have /sbin/init

 

And now im at a prompt that says (initramfs)

Oh crap i was hoping that wasnt the issue is there any way i could salvage any data from it

 

EDIT: I unplugged the hard drive and plugged in back in then rebooted the server and its booted back up find?

Have regenerated bad sectors via boot disk which has enable it to boot up but this is in windows have never tried with linux but i am sure it should be possible. Takes quite a while but may sort your problem. Hirens boot disk version 9.1 is the latest i think.
