Hi - this is my first dip into Hyper V, and I would like to dip it into the bin following this morning.

Set up a VM with an IDE disk for the OS, all installed (2k8r2) and fine. Disk management shows no SCSI disk. Funny, I swear I added that... turn it off and yep my SCSI disk is there, boot up again, nothing in disk management still. Huh.

Check device manager and there's a whole LOAD of yellow marks against devices in there. Funny really, using Microsoft's OS (2k12) VM host, running Microsoft's virtualisation suite (Hyper V) and installing Microsoft's OS on the guest machine (2k8r2) but oh no that's not got Microsoft's drivers. I despair.

Anyway, found out you need to run the Integration Services Setup Disc (from Action in the Connect window) to sort out all sorts of stupid crap so I insert this, to be told by an error message that I need to install SP2. BUT THERE IS NO SP2 FOR 2K8R2!!!!!

Anyone been here before and know how to get this working? :(
