localzuk Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I'd guess they were part of one of those insurance black box systems which save a few minutes of video to disk before and after an incident occurring.
Poults Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 She looks like shes just reacting to running into the back of someone, and is just like "ah Dammit".
laserblazer Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 A friend of mine's 17 year old daughter has just got a car and had a black box fitted. It has made quite a difference to her insurance premium.

laserblazer Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Here's the answer. She's with Inginie which cost her about £1100 fully comp with about £45 admin for fitting the black box to her car. The box was fitted at the house, but I don't know were it is as the engineer "hinted" that we should go in doors. She gets a review, on her phone, every 10 days about her acceleration, braking, cornering, and speeding. Up to now all have been in the green, except for one occasion when cornering was amber, she can't remember why. When she passed her test Jan phoned them to update their records and they said that 70% of their drivers get a rebate for good driving after 3 months.
elsiegee40 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I have Cooperative Young Driver on my 1.25 Fiesta with a black box to insure the teenagers and I to drive my car. It knocked about £600 off the premium and we even got a refund for good driving in the first quarter... it cost just over £400 for the year fully comp. Online I can view a daily sets of driving stats for speed, cornering, acceleration and braking and time (use is restricted between 11pm and 6am... occasional use isn't a problem between these times)
