Is there a decent DLNA player available for iPads yet?

Seeing as the last threads covering this topic are over 2 years old now, and I now have an iPad, I'm wondering whether there is anything, either free or paid that can fully support DLNA and most common media codecs including AC3.

All I can find online is various recommendations for apps that fall well short of what I need it to do. I do find it strange that Apple mobile devices are lacking in what can be considered almost a common application these days.

Oh, and not Plex please. I want this to be standalone.

I have AirPlayer that streams content without much issue from my Plex and WMP DNLA servers.

 

The app was a couple of quid, and doesn't seem to have any issues with codecs or playback.

Similar to what rush_tech suggested, I also have FileExplorer. I know it can playback all types of media, but I haven't really used it much for that as AirPlayer does all I need.

The reason for lack of AC3 is legal threats to all the media players and enforcement through the apple store.

 

Its the same reason why XBMC can't be uploaded to the appstore.
