ITTony Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone has setup a VLAN on their Meru controller? I am new to VLAN's so jumping in at the deep end, Meru have not been so helpful as of yet (they just want to remote on and make changes << not happy to let them) What I'm trying to achieve - We have a MC3000 controller, and I'm currently looking to set up a VLAN for a second SSID and have our secondary DHCP scope serve clients IP's to segregate them from the main network. This will be for our B.Y.O.D. network.
twin--turbo Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Is your connection to the controller trunked? We have multiple VLANS/SSID's off ours. Rob
ITTony Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 Not at the moment. I'm thinking I will need to install some sort of IP helper onto the server as looking to serve the BYOD network with a second DHCP scope. I guess I need to tag/trunk each port that is between the controller and server. Then map each VLAN to a specific port. Could you give me a quick run down of how yours is mapped to the controller?
twin--turbo Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 will hav a look at it in the morning. Rob
