Chuckster Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 AHT asked if we could have one or two cameras put in a single classroom to monitor damages to equipment. I'm thinking a wireless camera will suffice as we already have WiFi connectivity around the entire school. The snag is it has to be super discreet and has the ability of recording. I've had a quick look at Maplins but nothing that's suitable. Any suggestions? It needn't be expensive!

spadam Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I'm no expert on this but I think you should make sure it is written into your published school policy that you have these cameras installed covertly around school, the reasons why and how and when they will be used... if you don't already of course.

Chuckster Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 We have CCTV around the school and a policy in place that informs staff, students and visitors that the school is monitored 24/7. Right now I just need 2 cameras that are wireless. Having them wired is unfeasible as we'll have to relocate them in April when the little squirts move into their new classroom.

How do you intend to power them then? Get a data cable run for each and use poe. Ben

Ben That's the thing, if I got a few suggestions of which cameras to look at then I'll be able to start my planning from thereon. Until then, it's pretty much guesswork.
