Ave size of mailbox

Just wondering what the Ave size of your users mailboxes are?

 

Ours:

Total size of all mail Databases: 900Gb

Total number of mailboxes: 900

Ave Size - 1Gb

Our provider only allows 100Mb for normal users... We're allowed a handful of power user accounts which are allowed 525Mb, which those users inevitably fill in no time anyway.

 

I believe our supplier is investigating expanding the system in the future to have larger inboxes. But considering they provide email to pretty much all the schools in Somerset, that's quite a few GB of mailboxes.

We use googlemail for users, so currently sitting at 30Gb. Not sure what the capacity on our generic secure mail server is, probably around 100mb. But we are bringing that in house so I can set those mailboxes to what I like. Just need to find the right e-mail server for the job...
