Printer permanently displaying close cover error message and now abandonded. Very heavy. Will dispose on 25th October.
ConTheITGuy Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 If you have no other takers and you could see your way to post them - the toners that is, not the printer! - I would be most grateful. Let me know costs etc. Preston to London is just a bit too far to justify! Andy
Gardinho Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 If Andy doesn't get them how about Preston to Carlisle?
MrDarcy Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 May be interested. May even be able to collect (we're in Surrey).
mitcheln Posted September 28, 2007 Author Posted September 28, 2007 Hi Andy, Since you ask so nicely, I will try to find out the cost of posting them all in one box. I'll have a look at Parcel Force because I think they'll collect from the school, which should make it less painful. So, Andy, if nobody picks them up before the 25th October and it's not too much of a hassle, I'll get them out to you. Would you like the part-used ones still in the printer? What about the image drum, jetdirect card (I think it's removable). Obviously I can't guarantee how well those parts might travel... Regards, Nic
mitcheln Posted November 7, 2007 Author Posted November 7, 2007 Hi Andy, Toner will cost £14.99 via Parcel Force 48 (2 days), based on sending to the post code of St George's Shopping Centre in the middle of Preston. I don't think the price will change if you're along way from there, I checked the cost for delivering a heavier parcel to Glasgow and it stayed the same. Do you know how you're going to pay for it? I'm happy to use my card to pay and then you reimburse me somehow, but wondered whether it would be easier (?) if I supplied all the details of the parcel, address etc., and you made the purchase online yourself. Let me know what you think. Regards, Nic
mitcheln Posted November 14, 2007 Author Posted November 14, 2007 No response from anyone since last week. They're going into the bin. Sorry about that.
TechSupp Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 I might be interested in the jet direct card if thats still not made its way into the bin yet. I have a HP 2500n that has a removable card in the back that has died. I could post you a picture to compare it to if thats OK just to see if its the same.(this one just unscrews and pulls out of the back).
mitcheln Posted November 16, 2007 Author Posted November 16, 2007 Post away... Printer is currently being used as a coffee table in staff room.
TechSupp Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Found a picture, forgot about the net! http://www.kuro-tecc.de/images/product_images/original_images/142_0.gif Quoted as being a 'HP jetdirect 615n, j6057a 10/100tx' Thanks

mitcheln Posted November 20, 2007 Author Posted November 20, 2007 @ mitcheln I think they are the model we use at my school can you give me until Monday to check please? Thanks Z I'm checking with the school now to see if they've made it to the bin yet...
mitcheln Posted November 20, 2007 Author Posted November 20, 2007 Tried emailing but could not get it to send to address you gave. Hi, I'm not at the school this week, but will let you know. I'll mail it FOC if it matches the picture. I suspect it won't though.
TechSupp Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Much appreciated, PM me if it is the same and I'll let you know the address to send it to. If not anyone else got one going spare?
mitcheln Posted December 7, 2007 Author Posted December 7, 2007 Sorry, the printer has been disposed of, and the toner has found another home. EOF
