Printer printing full pages of blank ink

We have a printer that is just printing pages of "black" when you send anything to it. It's just out of warranty. I cant for the life of me see what the issue could be. Anyone got any ideas? Its a HP laserjet (Black n white) 1320NW

 

I've replaced the toner. Checked the config. Even restarted the damn thing

does the toner cartridge not have one of thouse tape things that you pull out before you insert it in to the printer?

 

If so, remove that

yes.. this has been removed lol

 

It sometimes does it and other times will print normally... but now it's just doing it permanent style.

The photoconducter unit is broken. Specifically, it's been exposed it to strong light levels.

Crikey.. that sounds a bit harsh. So it's goosed then?

 

Oh well.. best get the begging bowl out
