TechSupp Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 We only have a three iPods in school at the moment (I hope to expand once we have the budget) and I need to charge them together. Anyone got any suggestions for a powered USB charger for the three, nothing fancy as if we do get more we would sort a suitable charge station. Did try one of my own USB hubs but dont think it supplied enough juice as the iPods never recognised they were plugged in.
TechSupp Posted November 24, 2013 Author Posted November 24, 2013 (edited) Not many pennies at the moment which is why it needs to be a cheap and cheerful solution especially as we only have the three. There must be some AC/USB adaptor out there that would charge three or four rather than buy 3 separate USB chargers and a power extension. Something like this but a UK version, http://www.xtgtechnology.com/4-Port-Wall-to-USB-Travel-Adapter-Charger-for-Cell-Phone-Mp3-Player-or-Other-USB-Powered-Dev Storage ices--Fold-upFlip-down-AC-Prongs-for-Convenient-_p_30.html Edited November 24, 2013 by TechSupp
speckytecky Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Our PE Department had 8 in to enable them to run a Btec PE course - since dropped! As a solution to the charging issue I ran a surge protected 8'point extension lead in to the bottom shelf of a laptop charging trolley that lives in the department and they plug them into that.
AngryTechnician Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Amazon have a few around the £10-15 mark. This one has the best reviews but this one might be a decent cheaper alternative. 1
arwen Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Anker 5V / 5A 5-Port Wall Charger Could charge 5 from one wall socket, with this. I use quite a few anker products. Great company and if you ever do have a problem with their products (rarely) they are quick to sort it.
