System Restore from RE says it is unsuccessful

 

Done chkdsk /r on both partitions in RE

 

There is a PQService sector which I tried it on, but is reported it was an unrecognized file format, although I am sure it said NTFS

 

Repair says it cannot fix any problems (many times)

 

Wont boot in Safe Mode

 

SFC says it cannot run as there is a Repair Pending (deleted all Pending Files in Winsxs) - no good

 

Taken out disk and done HDTune for bad sectors - none

 

Checked it for viruses this way with Security Essentials - none

Have you gone and got the ransom ware virus and all your files are foobarred encrypted?

I am sure I scanned it with the Kaspersky boot disk

 

Now I am doubting myself....

Just done it - just found Funmoods.exe - now removed

That's not really a nasty nasty in the virus / malware stakes is it?
