[ms office - 2010] Outlook (Hotmail) Connector/Outlook 2010 Sync error (0x8004102A, 80041004)

I'm not a user of Outlook myself (either the 'traditional' Outlook (program) or the 'new' Outlook (E-Mail, further referred to as 'Hotmail' to make it easier)) so this one's gotten me a little stumped.

 

Since October 31st, a member of staff's Outlook has stopped synchronising her Hotmail account. At first the error log made me think it was proxy, so we've whitelisted all the addresses mentioned in the log but to no avail. This account just refuses to syc. I found some posts online mentioning different fixes..

 

• Whitelisted the URLs in the error log
  
• Deleted and re-added the account
  
• I've explicitly given IE the proxy details (we usually use a proxy.pac)
  
• I've added 'https://*.live.com' to the security exceptions
  
• Reinstalled the Outlook Connector
  
• Deleted the .dat files related to her account
  
• Uninstalled the outlook connector so that Outlook prompts for it on-boot (as opposed to installing it separately)
  
• Cursed under my breath
  

 

Now.. I got noth'n.
