out of interest how do you go about making the msi's ?

@mrstrong All done with a freeware program called witem installer. If you install in interactive mode you'll see an advertisement, but as 99% of the time these are installed silently that isn't a problem.

Audacity v2.0.6 was released last week so I have created a brand new MSI.

Like @Mr.Ben, I have also included the FFmpeg and LAME libraries (older versions of FFmpeg aren't compatible with the latest version of Audacity) and mine doesn't have the issue mentioned in post #5.
