mshakespeare Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 We have recently push out internet explorer 10. This past week we have notice a couple of issues though. On a number of machine users have to scroll down half the page before they can see anything. This happens on sites like Google and YouTube, which of course is making users think the internet isn't working as all they can see is a white page. Does anyone have any ideas?
jallsop Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 If you have it installed, Try quitting any Smart Ink application and processes for the user. If this fixes the problem, then there's loads of forum chat on here about it. I'm currently searching a final solution to this. 1
TechSupp Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Issues like that have kept us on ie9, with 10 using our website online editor the content just shuffles across the screen all by itself making it impossible to use! Now just got to stop 11 installing itself! Firtunately our wsus server is down at the moment so a but of breathing space.
petben Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 is there a fix for this scroll down/smart ink issue with Ie10? I have and need IE10 and smart ink working! thx
nickalmond Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Hello. We have previously battled with this issue (SMART Ink vs IE 10). SMART have released an update which isn't yet live on their website but can be requested via the support - request SMART Ink 2.0 software and they should send you a link to the latest September 2013 package named 'smartesi2013septadmin.zip'. We are now currently running the following with no further issues with having to scroll pages; Notebook : 11.3.857.0 Product Drivers : 11.3.533.0 Common Files : 11.4.188.0 SMART Ink : 2.0.719.0 To add further information - we had particular issues with SIMS Reports, YouTube and Google. Hope this helps! Nick 1

Smellbow Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Hello, I work alongside nickalmond - I cant say we have noted any issues with office apps slowing down no. The only issue we are left with, which occurrences of have been greatly reduced, is when microsoft ink and smart ink seem to fall out with each other when word is open causing every click to emit a "bing" sound from the speakers until you alt-tab to a hidden message box and close it by clicking ok or alt-f4 if its invisible (which it has been on occasion!) Still working on that. It certainly stopped the strange scrolling from happening.
Vstar Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 In my case it was the Smart Tech software that caused the IE blank page issue, installing the new version of the software instantly fixed the issue and seemed to make Office happier too. The software listed above is now available for general download and is seems to the be the version installed if you do an update from within the Smart software. Happy days!
