Toad555 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Hi First post in ages but I guess someone here will be able to answer this. We use Ranger 8.0, there used to be a tool called Ranger Migrate but I can't find it anymore, was it removed or just hidden? I need to migrate all my users to a new storage location on 2008r2 so I want to move all their data while preserving permissions and also changing user details in AD to reflect the new storage location. Ranger Migrate seemed to be the tool but if anyone can suggest a better route then I'm all ears. Thanks.
fiza Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) Ranger Migrate is part of the old Ranger Account Manager which isnt installed in Ranger 8. The old version of RAM is still there. Look for RAMv1 in the ranger folder. Edited November 12, 2013 by fiza
Toad555 Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 Cheers Fiza, that makes sense, any idea what ver I'd have to revert to and where to get it now, I think I deleted all the old install files.

Toad555 Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 I've got msi's for RAM Client back to 2.1.0.70 but these don't seem to contain migrate, the only old full ranger install I have is 7.4.3.0, this one doesn't seem to have RAM in the package at all, I seem to remember it was a separate download at that time. Looks like i need to find either a very old entire Ranger install else at least an old RAM client
fiza Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Drop me a pm with your email address and I will see if i can get the file over to you.
