On our website i am trying to get our pages to display using http://www.domain.com/page. At the moment i have to put .htm on the end of the page for it to display so it results in http://www.domain.com/page.htm.

 

What is it called when you have http://www.domain.com/page without the .htm and how do i configure our pages to do this.

Your need some form of mod_rewrite type thing - depending on your web host depends on what you want - if it's Linux, it's HTACCESS, if Windows there are methods too...

Ive just spoken to the hosting company, just waiting for them to email me back with what we have got.

 

I'm guessing its on a windows platform.

if its just static HTML files you could as a last resort move them info folder e.g.

 

page.html becomes page/index.html

 

this would then work as http://www.domain.com/page
