imunro01 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 We're deploying Office 365 over the next few months, and have just tried to verify our domain in the Microsoft portal. The portal is telling us the MX record does not exist, despite us having input it, and then verified with the ISP that it exists. has anyone else come across a similar issue?
glennda Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 If you type nslookup set q=mx domainname.com What is returned? Also do domainname.com 8.8.8.8 It could be the ISP has not put the trailing . on the record which means it will try and tag your domain to the end. i.e domain.microsoft.online.mx.record.yourdomain.com etc
imunro01 Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 The results returned are showing correct to both queries. It may be just propogation taking some time, but I thought it was worth asking
