G4S Really Are A Noddy Company

G4S & SERCO are at the top of my list of hated companies in the UK.

 

Both are equally useless.

If I was an employee of g4s.... id be looking to leave asap. That company is utter shizzle.

G4S is, of course, what became of Group 4 Security. They of the escaped prisoners a number of years ago.

they seem to be a persistently poor company, yet our governments bung contracts at them nonetheless, makes you wonder doesnt it.

Same goes for Capita; the number of government IT contracts they incompetently manage is staggering.

The figures don't add up on the BBC site:

 

£7.3bn turnover

Pre-tax profit: £516m

Quarter of turnover relates to government contracts

Half of business in Europe

Value of government contracts: £394m

 

£394m is nowhere near a quarter of their £7.3bn turnover...

 

Not that I'm defending G4S - I hate them as much as the next logical person - I just hate it when journos seemingly pull figures out of thin air
