Display has Wavy Lines

Vista Laptop has wavy coloured lines

 

External monitor is OK

 

I did a PrntScr and saved a document, but no wavy lines are on that....

 

What does this mean ?

You would need to provide a lot more detail than that. It's most likely a faulty screen. It could be interference based but unlikely on TFT.

Took off front panel - found that the video cable that comes from the screen was not pushed sufficiently into the socket on the main body of laptop

 

All Done !!
