I am interested in how many schools are making use of the above, what technologies they are using (server and client side), what subjects are making use of it and how it fits in with their schemes of work.

My old school were using PodCasting as part of the Women in ICT (WICT) project.

 

I'm not sure how far they got with it. They were using an Apple eMac to capture the audio. Garageband to mix audio tracks (Music and vocal) and Quicktime to convert the audio to MP3 or AAC.

My new music teach is dead keen on blogging as his last school had just set up a system on thier webbie [a commercial project/ webmaster] which he began to use. He wants to host files on there for kids to pick up - sort of an informal version of Moodle I suppose.

He's looked at Moodle and i've given him an account on our 'virgin' system [that no one has yet used].

He also want's to host small movies etc so any technologies in this area would be of great interest - please share!
