Hi

We have setup netsupport tutor on the teachers machine. The problem we are having is that we have to set the room layout and options for all teachers on the same PC. Surely we are missing a trick and we can set this up for multiple users on the same PC. It's like it is putting all the settings in the teachers profile.

Thanks in advance.

We have Ranger Remote Control which is Netsupport rebadged. We have the same issue. We were told that it was a registry fix. We tried but it didnt work for us. We are going back to them for a resolution.

The registry fix was this ;

For 32 bit Operating Systems please follow the below Steps:

Delete the following registry setting if present:-

Registry location: HKLM\Software\Productive Computer Insight\PCICTL\

ValueName: NSSregkey

Value: hklm

ValueType: String

Add the following registry setting:-

Registry location: HKLM\Software\Productive Computer Insight\PCICTL\

ValueName: NSSuseHKLM

Value: 1

ValueType: String

For 64 bit Operating Systems please follow the below Steps:

Delete the following registry setting if present:-

Registry location:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Productive Computer Insight\PCICTL\

ValueName: NSSregkey

Value: hklm

ValueType: String

Add the following registry setting:-

Registry location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Productive Computer Insight\PCICTL\

ValueName: NSSuseHKLM

Value: 1

ValueType: String

Note: Once this value has been added to a NetSupport School installation then the registry settings will be stored in the central location.

Count me in as well!

I just want it set up so that the Teacher PC in Room 1 called WSROOM1-t1 knows to only scan for WSROOM1-* regardless of which teacher logs on.

Support had advised I use Group Policies, but that seems like a lot of work having to create 6 different GPOs for the 6 different suites we have, when all I need is a couple of HKLM registry keys to be changed when I deploy the tutor msi.

Cheers,

Gerard

Hello! I too would like help trying to find out how to set up NS Tutor, so that no matter which teacher logged in to the Teacher Computer, it would only find computers in that room, and the settings would stay the same for all teachers, and NOT individually. We are trying to lock down the Tutor configuration also, once we can figure out the first problem, because at times there are students using that teacher computer, and we would like the Tutor to be password protected with the same password, again...no matter who is logging in to that computer.

Any help would sure be appreciated!!
