CamelMan Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Can anyone recommend a good printer for printing on the sheets of labels? Our admin team are frequently having to print a load of labels with addresses on for letters home, reports etc. They want to use the A4 sheets with 16 (from memory) rectangular labels on each rather than the Dynamo little individual ones. Its generally a report from SIMS - so the output will be from Word mail merge. It will only need to be mono. They have a proper MFD in there but they dont want to use that as it will interrupt the other office printing especially around report time. We've gone through a few but none of them have been great - if anyone has a good shout it would be much appreciated!!
bladedanny Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Our office has a HP laserjet 400. When printing labels they just use the bypass tray, they've never moaned so I presume it works ok. 1
danelliott87 Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 As mentioned earlier, use the bypass tray and you shouldn't have a problem. 1
CamelMan Posted October 22, 2013 Author Posted October 22, 2013 Cool - cheers guys will have a look at the HP - hopefully cause less problems that the brothers that we've used previously!
fiendishlyclever Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I've just bought myself a Brother wifi enabled label printer from Printerbase. The brother ones have cash back at the moment and there are cheap compatible rolls available. I'm running continuous labels, it cuts them to length automatically. Not sure they are up to the hammer of more than small business use but mine is pretty neat. There's even an iPad app...
