I have a regular issue with some webpages (usually secure sites and forms that need submitting) that hang when submitting the form then go to 'page cannot be displayed'. of course it works from home and if the user logs into same win 7 PC as another user (same GPO's bring applied) it works ok. if I recreate their profile it works ok.

so....as recreating their profile is annoying and destructive can I somehow reset all their IE content and settings within their own profile?

tried deleting cache/cookies etc and 'reset IE' in IE settings/advanced is greyed out, probably because of a GPO.

is there a fail safe 'reset everything IE related' procedure?

If you logon as either local or domain ( am guessing domain admin will give you more rights and do all the resets, clear temp files + browsing history etc

On advanced tab restore advanced defaults and also reset button ensuring to tick the delete temp files checkbox etc and log off once all resets are done and then logon with the affected users account. Is or does that help at all ??

Migjt be worth trying to replicate the issue with wireshark or ms network monitor running. At a guess it may be crl trying to work through a proxy.
