Theldron Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Hi all, We are getting very slow logons on the 10 PCs in the Library. The PCs in there are relatively new and we do not seem to have this problem anywhere else. Is there a way that i can record the steps taken to logon via a script etc? I will be checking the cabling over half-term and I have setup an NTP server. Is there anything else anyone can recommend to diagnose the problem? Many thanks
themightymrp Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Enable verbose logging on the machines via group policy. Then when logged in as a domain admin open event viewer and go to: Event Viewer --> Application and Services logs --> Microsoft --> Windows --> Group policy --> Operational. You will be able to see how long each section of the login is taking to process i.e. folder redirection/printers etc
