Switch it off

Please can you help me, i have a script that runs on our 2003 server to shutdown all computers on the domain, however 20% are windows 2000 sp4 fully patched. These machines don't switch off, i get the message "it is now safe to switch off your computer". i believe this is to do with windows power management on these machines ? Any help would be appreciated.

Go to Power Control Panel, and enabled Advanced Power Management.

Cheers i am 99% confident that APM is working on these computers, however the 1% tells me i better check, will vpn today and take a look. However if the script has run will have to wait till Monday.
