RDX Backup

Just out of curiosity how long does everyones backup take ??? I just think ours is a bit slow. We have DC that has an internal SATA RDX drive installed, we back up around 900GB of data all of which is on the same server as its the only one so its not backing up any others over the network, no VM's either and were using backup exec 2012 but including the verify its taking around 12 hours.

 

Is this about right or is it a bit slow as it seems an awful long time.

Before our network refresh this Summer a weekly/monthly backup was taking three days [backing up around 2.5 TB]

 

Backup regime was disk to tape using LTO3 and Symantec Exec 2010.

 

Our net network has virtualised servers that we are now backing up incrementally with App Assure.
