Hi all,

I am having some difficulty with finding out how to get the Compressed Folder (ZIP) option back onto the "Send To" menu.

As far as I am aware there isn't a GPO setting for Compressed Folder and the only sources I can find online relate to the "Send To" menu however apart from adding it manually per a user I cannot see how to fix this.

Is there anything that can be modified maybe via a registry GPO roll-out to restore Compressed Folder to the Send To menu?

Thanks

Fergus

Have you tried running either of the commands below (from an elevated Command Prompt)?

reg delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.ZFSENDTOTARGET\UserChoice /f

rundll32 zipfldr.dll,RegisterSendto

Like Chuckster, I normally use 7-zip because it's much faster at creating and extracting files from .zip files compared to Compressed Folders.
