Printer Authorisation window

Hi I've got a laptop which uses a network printer and when asked to print a document there is a standard school authorisation window opens up to allow the users ID number to be entered, problem is the authorisation window opens up “behind” the document been printed so it eventually times out. I’ve checked all the printer / laptop setting but I’m unable to find where to make the window open up in front of the document been printed. Anyone seem similar?

The printer is a Ricoh Aficio MP C4501 connected via network, management via window, all other laptops using this network printer have the authorisation window open in front of the doc except this one lappie.

Reinstall the printer after removing the driver in print management and downloading fresh from the net. We have a few Ricoh, pia they are. Thats what I do whenever it doesn't work right.

Thanks re done all the drivers last week but still the same. This issue is only happening on one laptop so must be a loacl setting on it but I'm stuffed if I can find it. There is a work round for now, set the doc to fill 1/2 the page which allows the autherisation window to be seen.... But the owner still wants a fix!!
