This site is recommended in the next Y7 ICT module but both Chrome and IE10 flag it up as a threat, as does Sophos. I've not delved any deeper, does anyone know anything about the site?

Nope, flagged here too. Google Safebrowsing, Fortinet also flag it up (verified by a few online site checkers). Seem's odd!

 

Karoo (is it still Kcom?) always was a moron-magnet. Spammers, dodgy TOR exit nodes, weirdos and script-kiddies ahoy meant that the majority of KCOM's (at least karoo.kcom.com from the top of my head) network got blacklisted from more service providers than I care to remember (I dealt with the IRC side of things). I wonder if some parts of their network are still flagged as such?

Seems that this site is full of true and false information and is designed to get pupils to always question what they see. Does anyone know of similar sites they can use instead?
