Help: Google drive times out w/ too many connections

Currently we have an issue where a class of 25 laptops attempts to use google docs in class. A handful of them 4-8 will either get page cannot be displayed or a message about google drive app failing to load. It's always random which computers choose to misbehave. Sometimes it will just start working again after a few minutes.

 

When this happens, those computers can still access other websites but cannot ping google.

 

Any troubleshooting tips appreciated. Thanks

I always had this one down as someone else's problem, i.e. the person running the website you're trying to reach has hit the limit for concurrent connections. The only other thing I can think of is that for some reason it thinks you're trying to connect too many times from one machine and it's blocking you. Could be that machines / users aren't logging out properly before trying to log in again, or there's something odd happening in NAT and Google is being presented with multiple machines all with the same IP address.
