Keeping Children Safe Online (KCSO) Training for adults working with children

""We're excited to announce that we are expanding our training provision into e-learning, with a new training programme for professionals that has been jointly developed by the NSPCC and CEOP: Keeping Children Safe Online (KCSO).

 

KCSO is a six-module online learning programme aimed at any organisation or professional working with children. It provides an up-to-date snapshot of how children behave online and guidance on how you and your organisation can work to protect and support them. The KCSO modules will cover:

 

· Our digital world

 

· Risk-taking behaviour

 

· Online grooming and online child sex offenders

 

· Inappropriate content

 

· Peer to peer risks

 

· Making your organisation safer

 

The course takes a morning, or an afternoon, to complete and costs £20, with all proceeds going to the NSPCC. The e-learning modules can be completed at your convenience, so it is a time and cost-effective alternative to face-to-face training for those organisations and professionals with a need to increase their knowledge and understanding of online risks to children.

 

Those who complete the course and who register for access to CEOP's Thinkuknow educational resources will be awarded Thinkuknow Trainer status, with access to our full range of resources for delivery to young people and parents/carers.
