PS4 pre-order merchants. Suggestions?

Hi folks.

 

In your experience and wisdom, where would be the best place to pre-order the PS4 so that it is received as close to the release date as possible (I realise that getting a release date guarantee is not going to be possible at this stage)?

Amazon, they will do pre-order price match guarantee so you'll get the best deal. Whether you want to put your business through them is an entirely different matter:p

Would usually order something like this through the business and then buy it off them, but game consoles are not something represented in our supply line as they're classed as consumer electronics/entertainment rather than a computing device. Hence why I'm looking about for the best place to try and get one on or close to the release date.

 

Currently deciding between the following three suppliers:

 

• Sony UK online shop (surely they'll have the best access to stock?)
  
• Amazon because they're massive and Sony will want to keep them happy
  
• Game online shop as recommended by our Production manager who is a big early uptake gamer and always gets the latest stuff as soon as it is released
  

Any other suggestions based on EduGeek members' knowledge and experience would be appreciated.

I can't honestly say I'm one to pre-order often, but whenever I have done it's always been with Game and I've never had a problem - never pre-ordered a console though.

 

To be honest, I don't think stocking is going to be too much of an issue. Distributors seem to have finally got their act together, I can't remember the last time I had any problem picking up a new release. GTAV for example - just popped in to Tesco, dozens of copies on the shelf, no problem.

Thanks @zag and @LosOjos for the input. I reckon Amazon or Game will probably be what I use so I can pre-order a release title PS4 game at the same time (Sony store only seems to have games for current consoles).
