3D Studio Max 2012 Deployment

I used the wizard provided with the 3DS Studio Max 2012 installer to create a deployment...only problem is rather than created the expected MSI file it has created a folder from which you have to run a 'lnk' shortcut file!

 

Am I doing something wrong? I just want to create a Group Policy to deploy the thing!

I just went through this with the Auto CAD suite (same developer). That is in fact the way their deployment wizard works. Either you can run the shortcut as a startup script via GPO, or just get it installing on the machine by hand, set a reboot timer, lock and walk away.
