Network Speed problems

We are having problems. We thought it was SWGFL, But doing a internet speed test from router before our VLAN and we get 30/30meg

 

From our computers that are on the vlan we get around 5 to 10meg,

 

What can we do to improve this?

 

(Hope it makes sense)

You've not given us a lot to go with there...

 

Have you run wireshark or similar to check what is happening to packets? Have you got excessive broadcasts on your network?

Is DNS performing as it should?

Are your internal switches telling you anything?

You mention your VLAN - is your router working as it should? Is it hitting cpu/memory limits?

 

Come back with some more info, and someone will be able to help.

In DNS we are getting this

The zone ckhsnet.net was previously loaded from the directory partition DomainDnsZones.nsnet.net but another copy of the zone has been found in directory partition ForestDnsZones.nsnet.net. The DNS Server will ignore this new copy of the zone. Please resolve this conflict as soon as possible.

 

If an administrator has moved this zone from one directory partition to another this may be a harmless transient condition. In this case, no action is necessary. The deletion of the original copy of the zone should soon replicate to this server.

 

If there are two copies of this zone in two different directory partitions but this is not a transient caused by a zone move operation then one of these copies should be deleted as soon as possible to resolve this conflict.

 

To change the replication scope of an application directory partition containing DNS zones and for more details on storing DNS zones in the application directory partitions, please see Help and Support.

 

Switchs are looking fine. No errors or reporting of packet loss.

 

And we not sure how to use wireshark... (im very basic of that knowledge)

We ran a speed test with no one on the network.

 

And we got 30 / 30.

 

Is there away we can monitor traffic? Is there a noob guide for wire shark?

you could do a physical binary search

 

you need to break the network down, connect 50% if the problem is not there try the other 50% , then break down the 50% with the issue, and 50% again...

 

It sounds difficult but its not.
